Big news from Ghent. ⚡ Mobiflow has a new chapter — and for you as a driver or fleet customer, the most important thing to know is: nothing about your charging experience changes today. Here’s what this means, in plain language.
What happened
As of 30 April 2026, Optimile — the company that builds and operates Mobiflow — has become part of the DKV Mobility Group. DKV Mobility is the leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions, with over 90 years of mobility expertise, approximately 430,000 active business customers across more than 50 countries, and a roaming network of over 1.1 million charge points across Europe.
DKV acquired 100% of Optimile’s shares from previous shareholders BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance. The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
What this means for your Mobiflow account
Short answer: nothing changes today. Here’s the longer version:
- Your Mobiflow account is active and works exactly as before. Your charging cards, app access, and roaming capabilities are fully intact.
- Your pricing and contract terms stay the same. No surprises, no renegotiation.
- Your account manager and support contacts remain unchanged. The people you know at Mobiflow are still here for you.
- Your data stays safe. All GDPR obligations and data processing agreements remain fully in effect. No changes to data residency, access rights, or processing purposes.
- Mobiflow continues as an active brand. The platform, the name, and the team you’re used to are going nowhere.
What’s getting better
Joining DKV Mobility means Mobiflow now has the resources, technology infrastructure, and partner ecosystem of a major European group behind it. Here’s what that translates to in practice:
- More charge points coming. DKV’s combined roaming network spans over 1.1 million charge points across Europe — significantly more than Mobiflow could access independently. More locations, more reliability, more convenience wherever you drive.
- A stronger, more stable platform. DKV’s investment in platform development means faster delivery of new features and improvements.
- Belgium stays our home. Optimile remains headquartered in Ghent. The team and culture that built Mobiflow aren’t going anywhere.
A word from our outgoing CEO
“I am proud of what this team has built. Optimile is joining a group that genuinely understands e-mobility and is committed to growing what we have built — not standardizing it away. I am confident in the path ahead.”
Benoît Criel, outgoing CEO, Optimile
What happens next
In the coming weeks, your account manager will be in touch to answer any questions and walk you through what the new chapter means for your specific setup. There’s no action required on your end today.
