Working together with a shared mission
‘The collaboration came about thanks to a chance meeting with a former employee of Mobiflow, in 2020,’ says Rudolf Luytens, supervisor of the semi-atelier at Ons Tehuis Brabant. ‘What started as an informal conversation grew into a long-term partnership that we are still very proud of.’
A win-win for everyone
Rudolf Luytens continues: ‘We really like the cooperation with Mobiflow. We especially appreciate their commitment to sustainability, such as the focus on electrification. For our residents, this cooperation means they can perform meaningful tasks in a socially relevant context. Moreover, they come into contact with people from different backgrounds, which enriches their world enormously.’
‘What makes this collaboration unique is that, through Mobiflow, our residents get the chance to discover an outside world that would otherwise be difficult for them to reach,’ Luytens said.
A valuable partnership
The tasks the residents perform for Mobiflow, such as processing charge cards, are done with great enthusiasm and precision. ‘Delivering charge cards to the post office not only gives our residents a sense of satisfaction, but also allows them to step outside the walls of Ons Tehuis Brabant. A trip to the post office thus becomes a fun experience where they meet new people and become part of the community,’ says Luytens.
An annual event to look forward to
Mobiflow shows its appreciation for the residents of Ons Tehuis Brabant by organising an annual party or activity. This not only provides entertainment, but also strengthens the bond between the two organisations.
‘The annual summer party organised by Mobiflow, combined with a team building for employees of both organisations, is a highlight for our residents. It gives them a sense of recognition for their hard work and offers them a day full of fun, even for those with limited budgets.’
Together into the future
The work carried out by residents at Ons Tehuis Brabant is always done in close cooperation with supervisors and volunteers. This inclusive model, where everyone works together without discrimination, is at the heart of the success of this collaboration. There are even plans to expand the cooperation further in the future.
